This limited-edition Arsène sets up a radical contrast between its black forged carbon dial and green FKM rubber strap. By day, the material looks dense and mineral; after dark, green luminous veins break through and transform the watch. The shift echoes Arsène Lupin’s gift for disguise and escape. Limited to 27 numbered pieces, it stands decisively apart from the versions with black rubber or a steel bracelet.
Built for a radical, sporting presence, this French men’s automatic watch combines a 41 mm 904L stainless-steel case, 10.3 mm profile, sapphire crystal and black luminescent forged carbon dial. A 23 mm green FKM rubber strap, France Ébauches FE1977-11 calibre, 44-hour power reserve and water resistance to 100 metres complete this numbered limited edition of just 27 pieces.
The black forged-carbon dial refuses a uniform surface: irregular fibres and fragments create a deep, mineral texture. As the light fades, green luminous particles emerge from within the material. Baton hour markers coated with Super-LumiNova® C1 and straight silver-tone hands pick up the glow, producing an electric night-time display that is instantly recognisable.
Cut from 904L stainless steel, the round case measures 41 mm across and just 10.3 mm thick. Brushed and polished surfaces sharpen its lines without adding visual weight. A fixed bezel, sapphire crystal, ridged crown and water resistance to 100 metres create a robust, precise architecture built for an active pace.
At 3 o’clock, only the numeral 7 appears in red within the date window, cutting sharply across the black dial. The seconds hand carries the PL signature, while a discreet outline of France marks the case. The 1977 name at 12 o’clock, flat ridged crown and “Fabriqué en France” wording complete the identity without compromising legibility.
The France Ébauches FE1977-11 automatic calibre beats at 28,800 vibrations per hour and delivers a 44-hour power reserve. Made in Maîche, it drives the three hands and date display with a brisk cadence. Its blue, white and red rotor provides a direct graphic reminder of this mechanical movement’s French origin.
Launching in October 2026, the 1977P21137 belongs to the 2026 edition year and is limited to 27 individually numbered watches. The caseback bears Victor Hugo’s original French words: “L'avenir est une porte, le passé en est la clé”. Past and future meet in a tightly controlled series whose luminous forged carbon creates its own visual signature.
The Arsène is labelled Made in France and certified Origine France Garantie. Its FE1977-11 automatic calibre is made in Maîche, in the Doubs, before the watch is assembled in Ernolsheim-lès-Saverne, Alsace. Two specialist sites, clearly identified production stages and a French origin that extends right into the movement.
The green FKM rubber strap gives the Arsène a sporting edge. Measuring 23 mm between the lugs, it flows into the case and features a raised central texture for a technical finish. A 316L stainless-steel butterfly clasp secures the fit. With a watchmaker’s tool, it can be swapped for another FKM strap or a steel bracelet from the collection.
The Arsène is presented in a brown nappa leather travel case, designed to protect the watch at home and on the move. Its warm tone brings a refined counterpoint to the black carbon, bright steel and green rubber. The watch carries a five-year warranty, which may be extended to a full ten years for longer-term cover.
